Chinese Bethune Spirit Research Association, Bethune Charity Foundation, and Beijing Alumni Association of Bethune University of Medical Sciences jointly donated 50,000 medical masks to the city of Gravenhurst, the hometown of Dr. Norman Bethune.

On July 2nd, 2020, Mr. Han Tao, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Toronto delivered the masks to Mayor Paul Kelly, and all of them will be provided to South Muskoka Memorial Hospital for the front line health workers. Former Member of Parliament Mr. Tony Clement and CEO of Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare Ms. Natalie Bubela also attended the hand-over ceremony.
