Consul General Luo Weidong Attended the Toronto premiere of the Film Dead To Rights
On August 7, Consul General Luo Weidong attended the Toronto premiere of Dead To Rights at Cineplex Cinemas Markham and delivered a speech. Michael Chan, York Regional Councillor Joe Li, and other representatives of relevant associations and media attended the ceremony.

Consul General Luo stated that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. The Chinese people not only made tremendous contributions to victory in the war but also paid enormous sacrifices. The film Dead To Rights recreates the efforts and struggles of ordinary people during the Nanjing Massacre, despite desperate circumstances, to preserve the historical truth. It reminds us to remember history and cherish peace.

Dead To Rights is based on real footage of Japanese military crimes committed during the Nanjing Massacre and will be officially released in Canada on August 15.
