Consul General Luo Weidong Attends Step into Chinese Civilization - The “ Embrace Dunhuang” International Cultural and Art Exhibition
On June 27, Consul General Luo Weidong attended the Step into Chinese Civilization - The “Embrace Dunhuang” International Cultural and Art Exhibition, jointly organized by the Consulate General, World Affairs Press, Dunhuang Academy, and the Dunhuang Municipal People's Government. More than 100 people attended, including representatives of the organizers, local dignitaries, guests from the consular district, and media representatives.

Consul General Luo stated that Dunhuang, a hub of the Silk Road, and the Mogao Grottoes, a fusion of diverse arts, are a testament to the openness and inclusiveness of Chinese civilization. With China-Canada relations now back on track, cultural exchanges are ushering in new opportunities. This event, building a bridge of dialogue across borders through culture and art, is a vivid practice of the Global Civilization Initiative.

The event also included lectures on Dunhuang culture, Dunhuang music and dance performances, the "Hand in Hand with Dunhuang" photo exhibition, and VR experience projects. On the evening of June 28, the Dunhuang Ancient Music Ensemble collaborated with local performers to present a special performance entitled "Music in Dunhuang".
