On September 18th, Consul General Luo Weidong attended the Toronto premiere of Evil Unbound and delivered remark. York Regional Councillor Joe Li, and other representatives of relevant associations and media attended the ceremony.

Consul General Luo stated that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Unit 731 of the Japanese Imperial Army conducted brutal biological warfare and human experiments in Northeast China, a dark moment in human history. Remembering history is not about perpetuating hatred, but about inspiring everyone to cherish peace and prevent tragedies from happening again.

The film Evil Unbound exposes through historical research and visual narratives, the crimes against humanity of Unit 731. It officially premiered in Canada on September 19th.
