Since June this year, Chinese Consulate General in Toronto has held a public Logo Design Contest in celebration of its 40th anniversary, inviting submissions from Ontario and Manitoba, the consular district. More than just a call for creative design, the contest served as a meaningful tribute to four decades of diplomatic presence and a showcase of the friendship and cooperation between China and Canada. We received an enthusiastic response and numerous creative entries. Many submissions thoughtfully integrated elements of both Chinese and local Canadian characteristics, embodying the unique significance of the Consulate General’s 40th anniversary.
After a rigorous selection process, one Grand Prize Winner and ten finalists were chosen. Let’s take a look at the winning logo that will represent this important milestone!
Grand Prize Winner:
Designer: Ziteng (Terence) Cai
Design Concept:
The logo features a clean yet dynamic design with an uplifting visual tone. A flowing, multicolored ribbon forms the number "40", symbolizing the 40th anniversary of the Consulate General. The Chinese National Emblem is placed prominently at the heart of the ribbon, representing the Consulate General’s vital role as a bridge between China and overseas Chinese. The design incorporates the traditional Chinese Feibai brushwork technique, highlighting cultural heritage. Notably, the vertical stroke of the number "4" is stylized to resemble the CN Tower, a landmark of Toronto, underscoring the unique geographic identity.
Chinese Consulate General extends heartfelt thanks to all participants for their creativity and support. Congratulations to the winner and all finalists! Consulate staff will reach out to the participants directly to award prizes and certificates.
