About Falungong
2005-11-10 00:00

The cult of "Falungong" appeared in China in the early 1990s. It has been deceiving people by concocting and spreading superstitious fallacies, making use of people's longing for good health and enticing them to join it under the disguise of curing diseases and keeping fit. Since its establishment, Falungong has stage-managed numerous extreme tragedies in flagrant violation of Chinese laws and human rights.

Countless facts have demonstrated that Falungong is a cult against the human race, science and society. First, it is against all religions. It claims itself superior to all religions in the world, vilifying religions such as Christianity and Buddhism as inferior. Second, Falungong is anti-science. It defames science and deceives people by preaching that only Falungong can cure their illness, asks Falungong practitioners not to see doctors nor take any medicine when they are ill, so that they can go to heaven after they die. As a result, over 1,500 Falungong practitioners in China have died by refusing medical treatment for their illness. Third, Falungong does not cherish people's lives. It advocates that the doomsday is coming and people should sacrifice their lives to achieve "fulfillment". Many followers committed suicide due to this absurd fallacy.

Based on the facts of damages that Falungong had brought to the society, on July 22, 1999, the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China issued a notice declaring that the "Research Society of Falun Dafa'' and the "Falungong'' organization under its control had been deemed illegal, and were therefore banned according to law.
