August 9, Mr. Cheng Hongbo, Acting Consul General of P.R.China in Toronto, attended the "My Mulan" Fantasy Dance Drama Debut in Niagara Falls City, Ontario. More than 700 people, including representatives of three levels of government in Canada, local audience and tourists attended the event.
Acting Consul General Cheng sent warmest congratulations to its successful debut and stressed that the legendary story of the ancient Chinese heroine Mulan boasts of a long history of thousands of years. “Mulan's enchanting character and spirit of patriotism, filial devotion, courage and perseverance, encourages many especially females to achieve their dreams. Mulan culture has been recognized as the intangible culture heritage in China. It is also loved by the global audience, going beyond borders and ethnicities.” Mr. Cheng also welcomed Canadians to China to find Mulan’s hometown and enhance people-to-people exchanges between China and Canada.
"My Mulan" Fantasy Dance Drama, featuring top musicians, dancers and stage artists from China, Canada and the United States, debuted in Canada in 2019 and has received wide acclaim. 2024 session is staging in Niagara Falls this summer.
