The Chinese Consulate General in Toronto was established in 1984 and is responsible for a consular district that includes the provinces of Ontario and Manitoba. The Consulate's location in Toronto puts it at the centre of Canada's largest city and the country's economic, financial, technological, cultural and educational fulcrum. It is also an important gathering place for overseas Chinese.

As the 13th Chinese Consul General in Toronto, I will work closely with my colleagues, to promote friendly exchanges and pragmatic cooperation in various fields between China and the region, to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese and Canadian peoples, and to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens and institutions in the consular district. We will dedicate ourselves to providing quality and efficient consular service and assistance to Chinese citizens and foreigners alike.
