On September 28, Luo Weidong, Consul General of PRC in Toronto, attended the 24th Imperial Ball held by Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto(CCCGT).
This year marks the 36th anniversary of the establishment of the CCCGT. Guests presented from all walks of life appreciated the centre's contribution to promoting Chinese culture and enriching multiculturalism in Canada. The annual charity dinner featured music programs that incorporated Chinese folk music and Western music, and a live auction was also held during the event.
CCCGT is one of the largest non-profit organizations in North America engaged in spreading Chinese culture and holding various cultural events all year round. "Hua Yan" is its annual large-scale charity fundraising dinner. In recent years, the funds raised have been used for the construction of the centre's "Asia Garden".
