MEET IN BEIJING ARTS FESTIVAL
The MEET IN BEIJING Arts Festival is a continuation of a series of large scale and comprehensive international art festivals, being held annually with different themes. The art festival is jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, the Municipal People's Government of Beijing and the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and presented by the China Performing Arts Agency and the Cultural Bureau of the Beijing Municipal People's Government.
The festival focuses on different themes each year, such as the International Symphony Festival in 1996, the International Opera Festival in 1997, the International Fine Arts Festival in 1998 and the International Festival of Folk Songs and Dances in 1999. Over the past two years, MEET IN BEIJING Arts Festival attracted more than 150 performing art groups and exhibitions. Its program ranges from symphony, ballet, traditional dance and opera to pop music.
BEIJING MUSIC FESTIVAL
The Beijing Music Festival, endorsed by the Ministry of Culture of China and the Beijing Municipal Government, has become one of the major annual cultural events in Asia and has attracted artists and audience from all over the world.
The Beijing Music Festival Association, a non-profit organization, aims at enriching the musical life in Beijing by organizing this annual festival and presenting musicians of the highest caliber. Its fund comes from generous contributions from around the world.
The Beijing Music Festival also puts an emphasis on music education. Each year, the festival offers free concerts for children and schools. With the Education Department of the Central Conservatory of Music, the festival holds annual Master Classes for young artists in a consecutive of ten years winning praises from all walks of life.

CHINA WUQIAO INTERNATIONAL CIRCUS FESTIVAL
The China Wuqiao International Circus Festival is jointly sponsored and organized by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Hebei Province. Since 1987, the biennial event has attracted more than 200 acrobatic groups from over 30 countries and regions. It is regarded as one of the most famous circus festivals in the world. During the festival, an international acrobatic performance competition is held, which is also open to the public. The festival is well known for its innovative programs with spectacular acrobatic skills. The festival has won the title of the Great Acrobatic Shows in the Orient.

SHANGHAI INTERNATIONAL ARTS FESTIVAL
Approved by the State Council of the People's Republic of China, the China Shanghai International Arts Festival, an annual arts festival held in November, is hosted by the Ministry of Culture and implemented by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. The purpose of the festival is to present the best cultures from around the world, to promote Chinese traditional arts, and to enhance Sino-international cultural exchanges. The festival activities include performing arts programs, arts exhibitions, public cultural activities and international performing arts fair.
